Tashtastic Magnum PI- Ferrari 308

Has to be one of the most famous cars in the world, driven by the 1980‘s tash flaunting Mr Selleck. Originally the shows producers wanted to use a customised 928, but Porsche had a policy of not customising for clients. Fail.

For the show the car had to be modified as Tom stands at 6’4”. The padding was removed from his seat & then bolted as far back as it would go. Even then his head still stood over the windscreen, so the roof was rarely closed.

At first the 308 had fibreglass bodywork, though it was soon engineered in steel for obvious reasons.
